Commision Regulation (EU) 2019/1781

According to Commission Regulation EU 2019/1781, starting from July 1st, 2021, the efficiency of all three-phase electric motors from 0.75kW up to 1000kW included, at 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles will be minimum IE3. And the efficiency of the electric motors from 0.12kW to 0.55kW included, at 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles will be minimum IE2. This will be valid also for motors under drive speed control, brake motors and ATEX motors (only explosion proof Atex Ex eb and all single-phase motors are excluded).

Starting from July 1st, 2023, the efficiency of all explosion proof electric motors Atex Ex eb from 0.12kW to 1000kW included, at 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles, and all single-phase electric motors from 0.12kW will have to be IE2. A minimum efficiency level IE4 will be required for three-phase electric motors from 75kW to 200kW included, at 2, 4 and 6 poles, except brake motors and explosion proof Atex Ex be.
